THORNAFIRE signs with FDA Rekotz

FDA Rekotz is proud to announce the addition of Chilean death squad THORNAFIRE.

Offering a visceral and ruthless brand of extreme death metal in the vein of early Sepultura, Death and Massacre, THORNAFIRE has established themselves as force to reckoned with through their intense live show and a trio of well-received albums. The band's fourth full-length will be out in late 2013 on FDA Rekotz. Prepare yourselves for the coming onslaught of high-caliber death metal!

The band has issued a video statement discussing their deal with FDA Rekotz and the addition of drummer Nikko Pagani to the lineup. Check it out HERE.
A video of the song "Malefactor Manifesto" off the band's 2012 release Eclipse Nox Coagula is now playing at this location.

THORNAFIRE started out in 1998 by the hand of Víctor Mac-Namara with the sole intention of playing Death Metal. A year later two songs were recorded for the Granded for all Somberness demo. With that tape and a savage live show the band started to achieve a strong name in the local scene. After a series of line-up changes, an MCD entitled Mortus Tenebrae Surrectus was released in 2001, which received many good reviews from the local and international metal media. With that THORNAFIRE became one of the most promising Chilean extreme metal acts. The recording saw worldwide distribution via the tried and true methods of tape-trading and word of mouth. THORNAFIRE began to gig and tour around Chile and into Bolivia and Argentina. In 2005, the band recorded their debut full-length, Exacerbated Gnostic Manifestation. The album stood out as a milestone in brutality and a masterpiece of hate. It also caught the attention of Incantation's John McEntee, who signed THORNAFIRE to his label, Ibex Moon Records. The spring of 2007 saw the re-release and worldwide distribution of the debut and, in 2009 the band released Vorex Deconstrucción on Ibex Moon Records. A European invasion soon followed which saw the band appear alongside the likes of Master, Incantation, Deranged and many others at the Obscene Extreme Festival. Since then, THORNAFIRE has shared stages with Slayer, Overkill, Dimmu Borgir, Motley Crue and several other notable acts. In 2012, bassist/vocalist Christian Argandoña joined the fold and Eclipse Nox Coagula was unleashed with critical acclaim and rabid reception from the band's growing legion of fans. With a deal with FDA Rekotz in place, THORNAFIRE's quest for global domination continues. Prepare yourselves.

Kaotoxin Records To Release Debut EP From UK
Blackened Death Metal Act SIDIOUS
Kaotoxin Records will release Ascension to the Throne ov Self from UK Black/Death act SIDIOUS on May 7th worldwide. Featuring two EYE OF SOLITUDE members, SIDIOUS is the British black phoenix rising from the ashes of what once was Seed of Detest, combining the former's sorrowful mourning with the latter's aggression, giving birth to a higher level of darkened alchemy. SIDIOUS mixes influences as diverse as Deathcore, Symphonic Black Metal, Death Metal and modern Black / Death (e.g. Dimmu Borgir, Behemoth, Zyklon) to create something of their very own transubstantiating the power of each individual aforementioned genre to multiply.
SIDIOUS brings orchestral parts to the utterly brutal blast beats and complex drumming, offering a varied range of riffing, while crafting some of the most beautiful and soulful solos heard in ages. It is topped off with commanding vocals and an emphasis on creating their own brand of dark arts, both powerful and dynamic in delivery. The music of SIDOUS seeks to fuel the cultivation of culture and propagation of self, whilst debasing incomprehension of the corporeal realm. The lyrical content focuses on the concept of the rebirth of humanity, after generations of ignorance compounded by religious and monetary systems. Ascension to the Throne ov Self was produced by the legendary Russ Russell (Dimmu Borgir, Lock Up, Napalm Death, etc).

San Francisco Bay Area thrash bands have long been known for their in-your-face approach to music, and Potential Threat SF are no strangers to that tradition.
Originally formed as a five-piece in 1986, they have shared the stage with everyone from Testament to Slayer to Cro-Mags to Nuclear Assault, and just recently returned from touring with Death Angel. Their hard working, no holds barred attitude carries over to their live shows. Though they put every ounce of grit and determination into their set, they still manage not to sound like angry old fucks. Their mentality is simple - it's just as easy for a band to get the audience involved in their show as it is to be pissed off and push them away. In short, they still have fun and show it on stage and to the fans, regardless of how long they've been playing or how many people are in the attendance.

Their newest offering, Civilization Under Threat (to be released by OSM Records), gives a nod to the old school by combining aggressive, commanding vocals with dual guitars and a thundering bottom end. Engineered and mastered by Juan Urteaga (Machine Head, Testament, Heathen) at Trident Studios has given the album a massively heavy quality without being over-produced.
The band consists of Mike Noble on lead vocals and lead/rhythm guitars, Daniel Sheridan on lead/rhythm guitars, Kenny Noble on drums and Damien Sisson (also in Death Angel) on bass.
