Chaos Records has officially released Wither, the new album from Swedish death metal unit DECOMPOSED.
The band's third full-length is uncompromising, riff-driven Swedish
DM that proudly follows in the giant footsteps of genre leaders
DISMEMBER, ENTOMBED, and the like. Wither was recorded in
mid-2015 by composer/founder Jesper Ekstål along with drummer Emil
Leijon in Studio Blastbeat in Sundsvall, the same studio in which the
previous albums were recorded.
Wither is streaming in full at chaos-records.bandcamp.com/
"Grisly, bone-grinding, pavement-splitting, head-hammering death metal."
- No Clean Singing
"It may well be one of the best albums of the year."
- From Beyond Metal
After a few live performances and quite a few internal struggles, DECOMPOSED had to cease to exist as a live band. All members left, and only composer/founder Jesper Ekstål remained. The work on the third chapter Wither was well under way during this period, and it continued during obstacles of every kind.
