For more information, visit www.nocontrolradio.com and the official Facebook site at www.facebook.com/deathblackthrash
Metalenema began in 1994 on KVRX FM Radio in Austin, Texas. Hosted by The Undertaker and Agapornis Epicac, it was the only radio show broadcast from The University of Texas that received press coverage in The Daily Texan, Austin Chronicle, and The Austin American Statesman. The show was tied to numerous touring underground concerts and boasted hundreds of listeners at the height of its popularity. It resurfaced as a guest program on BCR in Bridgewater, England, in 1999, and was then revived once more for Solarfall Radio's broacasts from late 2005 to the end of 2007.

The focus of the show is Black and Death Metal spanning the 80s, 90s, and the new millennium, as well as some good old timeworn Speed and Thrash Metal for good measure. While the music is always serious, your intrepid hosts are rarely anything but irreverent, ridiculous, and occasionally patently offensive in their quest to promote the long-lost lighter side of an art form they hold so dear.

In 2008 Solarfall became defunct, though archives of the show can be accessed at www.metalenema.com. In September 2011, Metalenema was resurrected by The Undertaker on HD radio (yes, actual broadcasting) via 101x in Austin, Texas. If you're in Austin and have an HD receiver, it's at 107.1 HD2, or you can hear it worldwide every Saturday night from 10pm-12AM CST at www.nocontrolradio.com. No Control is the only 24-hour metal music station on earth besides the Sirus channels. Tune in and enjoy!

Send all requests to metalenema@gmail.com.

Veneror - Percussimus Fodeus Cum Morte

Type: Full-length
Release date: January 1st, 2013
New Era Productions
Released in co-production with Hexencave Productions.

CD : Limited 1000ex
LP 500ex

This band is a new experience for me,they released one demo named 'Nightwandering' in 2011 and has now released their debut on New Era.

This Italian outfit plays pretty fast forward black metal in the traditional way.
It's raw n' harsh but at the same time very melodic and actually pretty enjoyable and I have no problems listening through the whole album at once since it has a certain 'entertaining' value to it.
It primitive in many ways but on the other hand you could say it's professionally done and the sound quality is above average and fits the music overall.

The thing I like most about this album is the combination of the primitive sounding riffs combined with the more structured stuff.
'Percussimus Fodeus Cum Morte' consist of eighth tracks and surely has it's highlights.
I enjoy what they are trying to accomplish here, easy memorable melodies, but at the same time I kinda think of Gorgoroth, maybe not the right example but as said extreme yet melodic and with it's own charm. They surely manage to help me drift into my own little space, and that's what most music is about.

I'm glad I received this one as I would most likely never get to hear it,cause I think this band has potential and they show it on this release which I think is a pretty good debut, and I'll just enjoy this album for a while and probably hear more from these guys in the future.

The one thing I have to complain about is the variation which could have been more of,as it spins pretty much fast forward throughout the whole album,a bit monotone at times.
But it could be worse, there are so many shitty bands out there doing simply nada more or less. So all hails to these guys for releasing this one.

Lyrics are mostly deal with satanism, witchcraft, black magic, ancient gods, and when I first saw the album cover I somewhat expected some 'Doom' metal or something mostly because of the which drawings and other stuff on the cover

People into raw, melodic black metal should give this a try!

Taake - Gravkamre ,Kroner & Troner

Dark Essence Records

1.March 2013

Taake celebrates 20 years of True Norwegian Black Metal

Having started the band way back in 1993, mainman Hoest now celebrates 20 years of staying true to form by releasing a 20 song 2 CD collection of Taake rarities.

Taake witch are celebrating their 20th year anniversary has decided to release a double disc this year containing 20 tracks of rarities consisting of two brand new tracks, bonus tracks from the vinyl versions and alternate versions & several from compilations.
All nicely presented on this 2 disc collection.

The first two tracks, the new ones 'Et Pust Av Oyene' & 'Hov Var Stein' sounds like a continuation of what they did on 'Noregs Vaapen' and are both pretty good tracks and should be essential listening if you like their previous works as these tracks easily could fit into their previous full lenght.
Especially when listening to 'Et pust Av Oyene' I can't stop thinking of 'Norbundet' and winter in general as I think they captured the same cold athmosphere on this one.

As I listen 'Hov Var Stein' I get this 'typical' but brilliant feeling while listening to Taake, very sick, twisted, melodic in it's own unique way.
Some people may wonder why they release this collection of pre-released tracks, since most of the fans probably have heard most tracks before except the unreleased.

But I think it's a good way to mark their anniversary so one can have all their bonus tracks from vinyls, compilations & rarities in one collection.

Overall a good release with a great selection of tracks, and I reallty enjoy the new tracks and some of the alternate tracks I haven't heard to much before.
My credits to Taake for never giving up and going stronger than ever after 20 years of True Norwegian Black Metal !

There are few bands that captures me the way black metal used to,but this band continue to make music that makes me think of my nordic roots & inheritance while listening, and I have to salute them for that and congratulate with 20 years gone in a blast!

Recomended!

Among Gods (NO) - Among Gods

PRC MUSIC Release: 16 April 2013

After listening to 'Martyr' some months ago the song kinda stuck to my mind afterwards.
And I have to admit my expectations for this album was high, after listening to the first track 'Crucifixion' my hopes are already high,as they don't fail on this extremely groovy & at times experimental death metal it's hard to not keep listening to!
second track 'Martyr' & the whole album more or less is a massive piece of groove & death and the one who lead me to this record,so enough said about that one.

They have done a god job with the variation of the tracks on this album.
I have to say that I enjoy the slower melodic parts very much ,nicely blended in with some more aggressive parts.

'The City Of The Dead' is also a track mentioning again a massive one that makes your head bang, decent drum work on it and some great riffs alongside with the typical Among Gods vocals.

The album consist of 6 tracks and all of 'em are relatively long lasting, and all in all this is a very entertaining an interesting album at the same time, since I've think they've come up with something of their own here and that's pretty cool these days!

If I'm not wrong this will stand as one of the best albums by the end of this year.

This is truly a great debut, and absolutely worth a chance!

Recommended!

Prog Metallers THE ADVENT EQUATION Release Video For "A Violent Motion"
Monterrey, Mexico-based Melodic Proggressive Metal outfit THE ADVENT EQUATION have just released a video for the song "A Violent Motion," taken off their 2012 full-length, self-released debut album, Limitless Life Reflections.

The video is now playing at this location.

Limitless Life Reflections is a 60-minute juggernaut of power and beauty, that's sure to appeal to fans of heavyweights like OPETH and KATATONIA. The album was mixed and produced by Alberto "Charles" Leal at Psicofonia Productions with studio mastering by Jens Bogren (Opeth, Katatonia, Amon Amarth, Devin Townsend) at Fascination Street studios, Örebro, Sweden. The striking artwork was created by Colin Marks (Nevermore, Scar Symmetry, All Shall Perish) at Rain Song Design, London, England. Purchase the album via iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby and other online retailers.

"The Advent Equation is much more of a reflective intellectual style of metal, ruled by heavy, often somber soundscapes, a mixture of harsh and clean vocals, crushing rhythms, tons of extremely inventive melodic lines and an amazing use of keyboardist tremendous skills, especially in the one keyboard you rarely if ever hear in a metal band, the piano. Fantastic debut album by this heavy and introspective Mexican progressive death metal band." - Jeff Stevens, Prog Metal Zone

"This album should be heard by all, not just metalheads, but by anyone who wants to know what beautiful music is all about." - Mr Dread, The Dread Music Review

Monterrey, Mexico's THE ADVENT EQUATION has been officially active since 2008 and released an EP named Sounds from Within that same year. The EP was recorded in their hometown of Monterrey and mastered in Buenos Aires Argentina. The album released through Asenath Records with national distribution and great public reception. This material gave the band the opportunity to play in important events and festivals around Mexico, participating as opening acts for True, Haggard, and most recently Opeth.

THE RETICENT Mastermind Starts Black Metal Project

Chris Hathcock of THE RETICENT has returned to the realm of extreme music in the form of black metal project, ZEROMUS. In the vein of bands such as Gorgoroth and Dark Funeral, ZEROMUS is a straight forward and grim expression of aggression.

"I just needed to do something different. The Reticent offers me a lot of emotional release but sometimes you need to just be outright hostile. Rather than sing you just want to scream with as much hatred as you can muster. I love bands like Gorgoroth for their intensity, aggression, and disregard. This is just my diversion to create and release that hostility and have some fun."

Hathcock said he plans to release an album with ZEROMUS. An EP titled The Four Fiends is in the works but release may be delayed due to his work with THE RETICENT. Two demo tracks have been posted on Reverbnation of the band and can be found at reverbnation.com/zeromus

Dark Descent Imprint Unspeakable Axe Records to Release
BIRTH A.D.'s I Blame You on April 8th

New and bloodthirsty label Unspeakable Axe Records has joined forces with crossover thrashers Birth A.D. to bring you the group's first full-length, I Blame You, scheduled for release on April 8th. Birth A.D. have been terrorizing their home state of Texas since 2008, dropped a tactical nuke of an EP (Stillbirth of a Nation) in 2009, and are now ready to leave the entire USA just a smoking crater with this highly anticipated debut. Full of punk attitude, thrash precision, and a whole lot of yelling, I Blame You is the rightful heir to great bands like D.R.I. and S.O.D., and gives exactly as much of a damn about what you think as those bands did. Birth A.D. is a well-oiled machine full of seasoned pros that have played live and in studio with many well-known bands .With famed thrash producer Alex Perialas behind the boards, they sound as assured as you'd expect given their formidable credentials.

I Blame You is the first release from Unspeakable Axe, a sub-label of the mighty Dark Descent Records, whose roster of death, doom and black metal has made it internationally known in just a few short years. Unspeakable Axe will complement their parent label with a more thrash-oriented approach that harkens back to the roots of extreme metal, and to the fluid transitions between the various sub-genres in their infant forms; before battle lines were drawn and rules were written and expected to be followed.

The band had this to say about the partnership:

"Joining forces with Unspeakable Axe and Dark Descent proved to be the best choice for Birth A.D., as they are about the bands, the music, and doing things the old way (that is, the right way). We plan to cause even more problems with their support!"

BIRTH A.D. live dates (we/ Evil Army):

Thursday, April 4 - O'Briens Pub, Allston, NY
Friday, April 5 - The Acheron, Brooklyn, NY
Saturday, April 6 - Kung Fu Necktie, Philadelphia, PA

In the fearsome tradition of crossover thrash forged by acts like D.R.I., S.O.D., C.O.C, and a lot of other bands with three-letter acronyms comes BIRTH A.D! The band formed in 2008 and their first offering was the self-produced EP, "Stillbirth of a Nation". Their sound relives all the best moments of 80s hardcore and thrash with a up-to-date take on America and society circa today. It's angry, it's fast, it's catchy as hell, and it's guaranteed to cause total chaos wherever it goes! Fuck your party metal, we're here for war!

Gunshy Assassin Debuts New BOVINE Track

GunshyAssassin.com has posted an exclusive world premier of "Thank Fuck I'm Not You," off the debut album from Birmingham-based sludge-soaked ghetto rockers BOVINE, entitled The Sun Never Sets On The British Empire.

The album will be out on April 12th via FDA Rekotz. Until then, make it a point to drop by this location as often as possible to get your face rocked off by "Thank Fuck I'm Not You."

A fire-branded mix of KYUSS, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, early SOUNDGARDEN and BARONESS, BOVINE's bottom-heavy and primal assault will surely leave many a listener convulsing on the floor. The UK band's tuneful and, at times, space-proggish, approach to songwriting will make the experience as enjoyable as it is bone-rattling.

Let the stampede begin.

"This is music with balls. Sure, there's no screaming, no gargled bellowing, and no talk of dismembered bodies being molested with garden tools. But it's music that rocks, and will grab you by the nuts and make you submit."- Gunshy Assassin

Reign of Vengeance to Release The Final Solution; The Final Rebellion March 19th

The Final Solution; The Final Rebellion from Arizona Death Metal Unit REIGN OF VENGEANCE will be released March 19th on Synister Empire Records and is crafted in the band's new-school, horror-oriented, death metal format.  The new EP features musicians of the already proven and established top tier and Brutal Elite.

Unlike Disemboweling Swine, REIGN OF VENGEANCE's previous release, The Final Solution; The Final Rebellion is a concept EP. Since the release of the last album, front man Marshall "fucking" Beck has plunged himself into the systems and studies of the "Illumed."  He has grown to know their aims, their religion, and the goals of its sects.  He has been enlightened, having accepted and having realized that the All Seeing Eye controls this realm.  He has come to understand that with its guidance and assistance the rewards for those that abide by its will are Many. With the age of Osiris and Isis ended, the New World Age (Order) of Horus shall bring forth a world of peace that shall last throughout the remaining Aeons of time.  The second form of Atlantis shall rise forth and bring with it ONLY the enlightened and illuminated individuals.
However, with every revolution there is always ascension. Therefore, in order for ITS quest for world peace to be completed there must first be a massive internment and conflagration/decontamination of the flesh from those that refuse ITS Faith. REIGN OF VENGEANCE's The Final Solution; The Final Rebellion focuses on the cause and unraveling of this conflict.  The EP's storyline moves from start to finish.  Each song offers up a different piece and perspective of the portrayed conflict as it is witnessed through the eyes of the common tiers, the Occult Elite/Fraternal Orders, and The Master.  ▲ But, do not worry common civilians; this EP is all just a work of fiction.... Sleep well.

A video preview of The Final Solution; The Final Rebellion has been posted at this location.

A TRANSYLVANIAN FUNERAL and GOATCRAFT on Bandcamp

Forbidden Records has posted full albums streams of the forthcoming albums from ATRANSYLVANIAN FUNERAL and GOATCRAFT on the label's Bandcamp.com page.

Two vastly different, yet equally stellar examples of underground black metal, A TRANSYLVANIAN FUNERAL's Gorgos Goetia and GOATCRAFT's

All for Naught are both streaming in full ahead of their March 20th release date.

Visit forbiddenrecords.bandcamp.com to check out both albums and more from the Forbidden Records catalog.  Digital versions of these releases will also be available from iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, Rhapsody, etc. and other online retailers worldwide.

Download the free FORBIDDEN RECORDS digital compilation here:

A step in a new direction for A TRANSYLVANIAN FUNERALGorgos Goetia is a staggering 72 minutes of raw and unbridled black metal magick, with no drum machines, no keyboards and minimal production values to retain the creative and improvisational style of the album. Gone are the meticulously crafted layers of guitar harmonies, replaced with primitive barre chords and haunting arpeggios. Blasting robot drum machines are cast aside as Sleepwalker's abuse of live drum dynamics dominate the recordings. The attitude is unflinching, the music unforgiving and the energy undeniably present like never before onGorgos Goetia. Sleepwalker continues to work alone as A TRANSYLVANIAN FUNERAL, handling all the writing, recording and production of the album exclusively.
"It's filthy black shit and you'll love it." - GunShyAssassin.com

"Pure raw underground sounds from the darkest corner of hell." - Artemortifica

GOATCRAFT forged the genre of necroclassical, or dark neoclassical soundtracks that create an atmosphere of ageless beauty and melancholy violence. With All for Naught,GOATCRAFT expands into lush soundscapes that explore the themes of dark and occult music without becoming repetitive. Comprised of equal parts dark ambient, horror movie soundtrack and death metal-inspired violent piano All For Naught is music for a new millennium. Elegant melodies rise from aggressive hammering piano, and then descend into moods of bleakness and conflict. If dark ambient could be aggressive, it would want to beGOATCRAFT

"Fascinating and somewhat addictive." - Ave Noctum

"By stripping dark ambient back down to its most primal element - the fingering of ivory and ebony - and doing so with high levels of skill, melancholy, and frustration, Goatcraft's All For Naught will inspire others to rely less on electronic effects and more on a deeper unearthing of arrangements that have stirred souls for hundreds - perhaps thousands - of years." - Worm Gear Zine

SKINEATER Release Video For "Dismantling"

Swedish death metal supergroup SKINEATER, who just released their debut Dermal Harvest last month on Pulversied Records, have premiered a video for the song "Dismantled."

Produced by Uppsala-based digital production company Oddville, the video has been posted by the band at this location.

De-skinned to perfection, Dermal Harvest showcases some of the most resilient veterans in the Swedish Extreme scene, with past and present members from Wombbath, In Thy Dreams, Dark Funeral, Carnal Forge, Defleshed, etc. The end result is an unstoppable skin-butcher unit literally flaying everything in its path! Never has Death Metal extremity been so well brewed with melodic darkness in a long time.

Recorded at various locations, mixed and mastered at Sweden's Studio Underground (Carnal Forge, Steel Attack, Fleshcrawl, Necrodeath, etc), and with the striking album artwork designed and conceptualised by Mathias Björkbacka, "Dermal Harvest" is without doubt a world-class audioviolence with sick torturous intent.

"'Dermal Harvest' is damn near perfect the whole way through and should be a purchase for any old or young fan of melodic death metal. In 2013, bang your head in Swedish style like it's the year 2000 all over again." - StereoKiller.com"'Dermal Harvest' is an astounding release; it will render you unconsciousness with its speeding and massive trill picking action, amazing lead guitar work both on the licks and soloing, awesome low toned snarls and growls, suitable production in a good quality."
- Metal-Temple.com

Skineater was created in last quarter of 2008 when Håkan decided to leave his position as bass player in GrandExit (ex-Vicious) to focus on his main instrument guitar again which he played in bands like In Thy Dreams & Wombbath. Real soon a first tune was born and he asked Jeramie Kling , drummer in The Absence, Infernaeon & Ninety Minute reflex was interested in joining the project. So he did! Summer of 2009 they recorded two tunes at Jonas Kjellgren's place, "Dismantling" and "He Was Murdered." Jeramie also did the vocals on those tunes. The coming autumn a couple of labels were contacted and at least one label showed interest but the time just kept going and going and........... However, to make a long story short, things were moving real slow.

In February 2011 Stefan Westerberg drummer in Carnal Forge and In Thy Dreams among others joined Skineater to manage the bass which he also played in Steel Attack. With Stefan on board new energy was brought to the "band." He and Håkan immediately went back on the chase on labels to get a decent deal. Didn't take too long till Pulverised Records showed their interest and the deal was a fact.

With that the "band" went through some changes. To be a fully functional band eager to get out and play and hopefully tour as well Jeramie was replaced. It was a tough and hard
decision. New guys in action are drummer, Matte Modin (ex-Dark Funeral, Defleshed, Sportlov, Raised Fist) and Jörgen Ström on vocals from The Mary Major.

The Blessed Sleep from Milwaukee Progressive Death Metallers ARA
Out Now and Streaming

In a time when current death metal acts can be broken down into two common styles, which both share a need for innovation and identity, Milwaukee prog/tech Death Metal Unit ARA presents The Blessed Sleep to give the genre the shot of artistic savagery it needs. Rather than littering their compositions with flurries of notes that champion an alienating complexity over songwriting craft and still not falling victim to the tongue-in-cheek homage riffing that makes up the old school revival, ARA delivers five songs that bear no compromise to the current sounds that pass for extreme and instead carves an identity for itself where few debut releases dare to tread.
Comprised of members of progressive instrumental band Concentric and sludge band Northless, ARA weaves layers of melody into its songs without sacrificing the brutality of each one, and balances tunefulness and discordance with ease. Dynamically versatile and still youthfully rabid, ARA successfully merges a technical approach with catchy arrangements to present a record that both initially devastates the listener and still lingers in the head long after it's over, a technique lost among many who attempt the style currently. In a mere 21 minutes, ARA makes clear they are hungry to approach the mantle of death metal's elite, and with The Blessed Sleep, the band is well on its way.

ARA is a 4 piece progressive/technical death metal band, featuring members of the bands Northless and Concentric. ARA began in early 2012 as a culmination of the desires of one Jerry Hauppa and Erik Stenglein to play in a death metal project that borrowed from their influences, without being mere carbon copies. Both Jerry and Erik have/had played in multiple Milwaukee area bands throughout the last 12 years, enjoying performing and creating various styles of music, but they had never realized their goal of creating stark, dissonant, yet strangely melodic brutality until deciding to try and play some death metal riffs together one day in their practice space. This jam led to full songs and of course, the inception of ARA. Soon after, Jerry recruited longtime musical collaborator James Becker (Concentric, ex-Forever Is Forgotten) and Adam Bujny (ex-Gaspar Minga) on bass and vocals, respectively, and they filled out the sound in a way that led to the formation of material found on The Blessed Sleep, which the band released to the masses in early 2013.

EARTHEN GRAVE Signs Exclusive Worldwide Deal With Ripple Music

Chicago's EARTHEN GRAVE is thrilled to announce their recent signing to Heavy Rock Leader, Ripple Music for worldwide release of their debut album, Earthen Grave.

The album will be available on CD and double vinyl on July 9th via Ripple Music.
Formed in 2008, EARTHEN GRAVE is a five-piece Chicago metal band that marries the sounds of metal past and future with a sweaty, pummeling live show. EARTHEN GRAVE boasts an undeniable collective metal and musical pedigree. Each member is an accomplished musician and a veteran of the metal scene, including Ron Holzner who was a member of the seminal and seismic doom pioneers TROUBLE - a band widely regarded as one of the most important unsung American metal bands of all time. In addition, EARTHEN GRAVE has that "extra something special" with occasional guest 6th member live and boasting a Full collaboration on the new release with Rachel Barton Pine. Rachel, a world-renowned classical violinist brings her frightening classical chops to a relatively new instrument, the Viper.
Originally released in 2012, EARTHEN GRAVE's self-titled debut features 10 tracks of blistering Doom and Metal that left the critics grasping for superlatives. Terrorizer Magazine hailed "...Earthen Grave sounds old school without being retro, managing to go through every element on which lesser bands usually fail with exquisite grace and solemn subtlety..."

Now to be reissued through Ripple Music, the new edition of the album, produced by Ron Holzner, has been completely remastered with four bonus tracks including the new song, "Death is Another Word...." with new drummer Chris Wozniak (LAIR OF THE MINOTAUR) and the epic live Stargazer (Rainbow) with string section and virtuoso violinist Rachel Barton Pine.
And now the album will finally see a vinyl release!  Double gatefold vinyl to be precise, featuring the 10 song remastered debut with the new song "Death is Another Word...." plus three bonus live tracks. One of the live tracks, "Death March Intro - End of my Daze," features TROUBLE guitarist Bruce Franklin. That's a whole new side of vinyl featuring the epic live Stargazer (Rainbow), plus three more live, never-before-released tracks.
EARTHEN GRAVE is dedicated to exploring new possibilities for the genre. As guitarist Jason Muxlow says, "It's not about being the heaviest band or the slowest - it's about having good songs. " second guitarist Tony Spillman and I played doom metal before it was even called that," Ron continues. "And for Jason, the music we pioneered was his influence. We're bringing the strands of the music together - and with the addition of Rachel using the violin as a core component of a metal band, and featuring multi-talented vocalist Mark Weiner we're taking the genre on a new journey."
Catch it all at www.ripple-music.com.

Self-released last week to an outstanding reaction from fans across the globe, Living Fleshcan now be seen and heard online in its entirety. To stream the audio portion of Living Flesh, visit www.nadersadek.com/shop. The DVD is now playing, for a limited time only, at this location.
Recorded at Santos Party House in Manhattan during the band's first live performance of the 2011 release, In The FleshLiving Flesh  is available as a signed CD/DVD, CD/Blu-ray (limited to 20 copies), LP/Blu-ray combo, limited edition LP (500 copies), LP with digital video download and as a digital download. Next month will see NADER SADEK issue a unique piece relating to the release. Details coming soon. Visit www.nadersadek.com/shop to order.
Capturing the inimitable stage presence of a unique collaboration of death metal and black metal giants, Living Flesh offers the heavy, haunting soundtrack of a society ever more soaked in the reanimated, decomposed bio-matter we know as petroleum.  The November 20, 2011 show featured the original line-up of musicians from the In the Flesh record, as well as two new performers. The original line-up consisted of Flo Mounier (CRYPTOPSY); Rune Eriksen (AURA NOIR, AVA INFERI, ex-MAYHEM); Novy (ex-BEHEMOTH and ex-VADER); and Steve Tucker (ex-MORBID ANGEL in his first and last live appearance for this project. Those greats are joined by Sean Frey as guest live guitarist and Carmen Simoes on backing vocals.
Living Flesh also brings you photos of that evening, demonstrating why NADER SADEKhas been a favorite set-designer for the likes of SUNN O))) and MAYHEM. Nodding to the petroleum theme, the Egyptian artist brought the drums to the front of the stage as a metaphorical engine driving the music, while the disembodied voices of the singers emerge from the rear of the stage, behind the guitars and bass. Sadek himself takes the stage to baptize small, gut-like objects in a black tar-like liquid and throw them into the crowd.

The songs themselves differ from the original studio album arrangements. Not only are they played at a much higher speed, but have been extended to allow the audience to sink into and absorb the relentless riffs. Carmen Simoes' operatic voice enhances the melodies and darkens the atmosphere. The live show also features one track that does not appear on the studio album: Flo Mounier's extraordinary drum solo that shifts from brutal mechanical noise to rhythmic musical patterns, paralleling the overlap of man and machine charted by Sadek's petroleum-based project. Living Flesh will also be released in a single, unique vinyl edition. Consisting of a very special packaging and extra content, this piece is limited to one exclusive copy worldwide. Details to be announced.

"While the darkness and extremity of this record is very in your face, the subtleties like the use of female vocals and ambience only highlight the heavy parts making them that more devastating. Living Flesh is a compelling document of how great individuals can produce an even grander beast." - Ghost Cult Mag

Gun Shy Assassin Premiers New ENSHADOWED Track

GunShyAssassin.com has posted an exclusive world premier of the song "Surrealistic Shade of Color Black" from Magic Chaos Psychedelia, the long-awaited new album from Greek black metal dissenters ENSHADOWED.

The first full-length release from the band in nearly a decade, Magic Chaos Psychedelia is an intense offering of experimental, modern black metal that pays unholy homage to the genre's masters. Listen to "Surrealistic Shade of Color Black" at this location.

Magic Chaos Psychedelia will be unleashed upon North America on February 19, 2013 via Pulverized Records (January 28th in Europe).

Meticulously recorded, mixed and mastered at Devasoundz Studio by Septicflesh skinsman Fotis Bernado and ENSHADOWED, together with the album cover artwork weaved by Greek artist Rea Pediaditaki, including additional hand-made paintings by Miguel Angel Castro Salinas. The amalgamation of Magic and Chaos are now together as One, even more foreboding than ever imagined. Ceremoniously apocalyptic encompassing its aura, Magic Chaos Psychedelia is an abyss of religious anti-establishment with total hateful and nihilistic intent.

"If Dracula fronted a band, I imagine it'd sound like this.
Which is to say, it's fucking rad. "
 - GunShyAssassin.com

"Magic Chaos Psychedelia is a very good example of modern black metal with blurred boundaries among the other genres." - MetalPaths.com

Contact ClawhammerPR@gmail.com for press inquiries.

It will be baptized under the name of spiritual chaotic energies Magic Chaos Psychedelia.

EYE OF SOLITUDE And Kaotoxin Records Release Digital EP For Charity

UK-based emotive doom/death metal band EYE OF SOLITUDE and their label Kaotoxin Records have just released The Deceit, a digital EP which is being sold to help raise funds for a Romanian organization for the blind.
A two-song version of The Deceit, which includes a remastered version of "Painstained" from the band's now out-of-print debut The Ghost and a title track featuring guest vocals from Arno Strobl [ex-CARNIVAL IN COAL, 6:33, WE ALL DIE (LAUGHING)!] and Déhà [IMBER LUMINUS, MERDA MUNDI, WE ALL DIE (LAUGHING)!], is available through all major digital music retailers.
Orders being placed through Kaotoxin Records will receive a three-song version of the EP that comes with an instrumental cover of SHAPE OF DESPAIR's "Night's Dew." This bonus track is available exclusively at http://listen.kaotoxin.com.

A trailer for The Deceit has been posted at this location.

"The Deceit is well worth the money. It's a powerful and emotionally potent offering of melodic doom/death metal that's going to get a lot of plays from me. The fact that the money goes to help a worthy cause is  a bonus." - No Clean Singing

The Deceit Overview

After their successful and critically-acclaimed 2012 second full-length Sui Caedere and while working on the next album, Eye Of Solitude started working on a very special project, a benefit digital EP, aimed to help the Romanian center for the blind and sight-impaired, an obvious choice given Daniel Neagoe, Eye Of Solitude's main man is hailing from there and Nico, label manager, is suffering from a vision loss disease called retinitis pigmentosa, but the band didn't want it to be just a bunch of tracks, they wanted it to be very special, a reward and gift for the fans willing to help the cause they chose to help, something showing they really care about it and about their loyal following, thus they got in touch with Arno Strobl, the ex-half of renewed Carnival In Coal, now a solo artist singing for 6:33, We All Die (Laughing)! and more and Déhà, the dark soul behind projects among which the likes of Imber Luminis, Merda Mundi, We All Die (Laughing)! And more to create a very special song, The Deceit, featuring three vocalists, Arno Strobl adding his talented clean and sad vocal touch while Déhà adding the Depressive Black Metal one, alongside Daniel's cadaverous, dehumanized and despaired growling for a stunningly dark and hopeless result, adding yet an other level of darkness to the utterly oppressive Eye

Of Solitude trademark atmosphere.

A second, instrumental, song, a cover version of Shape Of Despair's "Night's Dew" was also recorded during these sessions, it's gonna be featured on the label exclusive version of the EP and will be offered for free download too while a remastered version of "Painstained", a song from the band's 2011's now sold out debut full-length, The Ghost, completes both versions of the EP.

The album comes highly praised by some very renowned names in the global metal community, including MELECHESH vocalist/guitarist Ashmedi who called the album "Intense, dark, [and] powerful." Nader Sadek "MAYHEM" Art Exhibit Opens Today In Philadelphia

Famed artist and visual effects director and driving force behind the all-star death metal project that bears his name, NADER SADEK is being featured as part of a group exhibition at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Philadelphia. ABACINATE Returns With A Vengeance

Jersey death metal devils ABACINATE have burst back onto the scene after a year-long hiatus following the tragic death of singer Jason "Plunger" Sica. After securing the services of new vocalist Ruben Ratliff, of Jersey death/slam band NJDOTS, Abacinate closed out 2012 with a string of shows in New Jersey and Boston with the likes of Dehumanized, Dying Fetus, Dysentery, Malignancy, Without Remorse, and Cognitive.

With the band firing on all cylinders again and new material for the follow-up to 2011's Genesis in the works, ABACINATE is pleased to announce their addition to the 2013 Philthadelphia Infest on March 16th and 17th. The fest will take place at Gunners Run - 1001 North 2nd Street, Philidelpdia, PA.  Appearing alongside ABACINATE will be MASTER, DEVOURMENT, CANNIBIS CORPSE, BRUTAL TRUTH, PHOBIA and many more. For details, visit the PHILTHADELPHIA INFEST Event Page. ABACINATE is scheduled to perform on Sunday, March 17th.

Stay tuned for ABACINATE updates and news, as 2013 promises to be a huge year for the band. www.facebook.com/abacinate

Faced with the same adversity and mediocrity that serve as antagonists in every metal kid's personalized tale of scrounging for success in an over-saturated scene, Abacinate is one band you won't catch high-fiving one another at the bottom rung of the ladder. From the band's formation in early 2005, Abacinate has always strived to be more than just a big fish in their small, central Jersey pond.

While the last six years have been filled with an abundance of broken bodies, shattered bottles and moments of heinous debauchery, they have also seen Abacinate evolve from just another garage band to an impact player on today's underground scene. Refusing to stand still or spin their wheels, Abacinate's growth process can be easily traced from their early demos and split releases to the release of their full-length debut, Ruination; an album that Blabbermouth.net states "packs a lot of punch and keeps things interesting."

It seems that the critics weren't the only ones to take a liking to Abacinate's seamless blend of brutality, melodic death, thrash and unadulterated heaviness, as they've shares stages with acts raging from the legendary Testament and Napalm Death to new-school warriors such as Job For A Cowboy, Suicide Silence and Necrophagist (just to name a few). The summer of 2010 saw Abacinate strike out on a DIY tour with fellow Jersey-natives Fit For An Autopsy, which earned both bands new fans across the country and served as one more notch in the proverbial bedpost. Before hitting the road, Abacinate entered The Machine Shop with producer Will Putney to record their anticipated second full-length, Genesis. A sonic slab of concrete and razor wire, Genesis offers as much chaotic brutality as it does schooled and focused songwriting. In short, this album offers the metal community a much needed kick to the cubes.

In September of 2010, Abacinate suffered the tragic loss of frontman Jason "Plunger" Sica. Once again, the band's stop-at-nothing attitude prevailed and Genesis, and everything the band accomplishes after, will not only serve as a tribute to the singer's life and memory, but as a testament to the strength and determination he shared with his bandmates. This is Abacinate. This is fucking metal.

Kaotoxin Records Reissues ANTROPOFAGO Debut

After the release of their, free, Between Fear and Madness digital EP in November 2012 and before unleashing their brand new, second, full-length, Kaotoxin Records is proud to give worldwide release to ANTROPOFAGO's 2011 self-released  full-length debut, Beyond Phobia (19/20 - MetalSickness, 15/20 - VS-Webzine).

Playing a dark kind of technical Death Metal, that VS-Webzine likened to "a mix of Gorod and Deeds Of Flesh," ANTROPOFAGO self-released their debut in 2011, before getting signed to Kaotoxin late last year. Beyond Phobia is 12 tracks of intricate, psychotic, sometimes melodic, sometimes blasting, Death Metal with a focus on a sharp guitar work (Antropofago counts in their ranks Hugo Mermet, luthier for Gorod, Insain and more...) and catchy song-writing with a lyrical fetish for everything twistedness, psychosis, phobias and the likes.

Like all Kaotoxin releases, the album is available for free full streaming at listen.kaotoxin.com.
Release dates:
- Label mailorder: Jan.29th
- France: Feb.04th (through Season Of Mist)
- UK & Eire: Mar.05th (through Code7)
- Digital, US & Canada: Apr.09th (through MVD)

The Between Fear and Madness digital single, featuring the previously unreleased "Cannibal Way of Life" and pre-production version of "Paranoid Visions (Part 2)" from the band's forthcoming sophomore release, is now available for free at listen.kaotoxin.com. A bonus version that includes a re-worked version of "Bloodred Honeymoon" - which originally appeared on one of the band's early demos - is available on iTunes, Amazon, eMusic, Spotify, etc. and all major digital platforms. Details on ANTROPOFAGO's next album, scheduled for release later this year, are coming soon.

The Soda Shop Debuts Video For MOTHERSHIP's "City Nights"

TheSodaShop.us has delivered an exclusive world premier of the video for "City Nights" from Dallas, TX heavy rockers Mothership.

Directed by Alan Fillencia for Scything Touch Productions, the video comes from the band's self-titled debut album, which is due out on February 12th on Ripple Music. Check it out at this location

70's-tinged U.S. hard rock with a sound that satisfies like a steaming hot stew of UFO and Iron Maiden, blended with the southern swagger of Molly Hatchet and ZZ Top, Mothership's goal from the beginning has been to carry on the tradition of the classic rock style; updated and amped up for the modern day. Originally self-released in 2012, Mothership and Ripple Music have joined forces to re-release this stunning debut record on CD (includes lyrics) and LP (packages to include an 11" x 17" poster and download cards).

Late last week, Ripple Music held a special online pre-sale for limited edition copies of of Mothership on purple splattered vinyl with signed poster. All 100 copies of the album were sold-out in less than two hours. If you weren't one of the fortunate few, it would be wise to visit www.ripple-music.com on or around the release date to secure yourself a copy of what is destined to be one of 2013's greatest rock records.

Mothership will be playing two Dallas-area CD release shows next month and is currently putting together a West Coast tour. Confirmed dates are as follows:

February 8th @ Curtain Club - Dallas, TX

February 9th @ Lola's Saloon - Ft. Worth, TX

March 8th @ Club Red/ Red Owl - Tempe, AZ

March 29th @ Johnny B's - Medford, OR

"Such a killer find, man. Can't wait to see them live!"

- Dom Lawson (Metal Hammer / Classic Rock)

"Been listening to Mothership all day now and if feels like UFO and Orange Goblin got drunk with St. Vitus, smoked some weed with Blue Cheer and spewed out the tuffest blues-drenched, no frills love child I've heard all month. Some ridiculously badass guitars. And heavy above all else!" -- Sword of Doom

"Try to resist a band that plays blues-laden metal with heavy guitar riffs that is also hoping for intergalactic travel. Mothership is a three piece from Dallas that alternates between an almost AC/DC-like sound on a track like 'City Nights' and a broader, heavier and more epic sound on tracks like 'Cosmic Rain,' 'Angel of Death' and the opener, 'Hallucination.'

-- Vue Weekly.com

Mothership Bio

Rock n' Roll history is rife with brothers working together to create their artistic vision. But rarely do we hear about a full-fledged family unit embarking down the treacherous path of a musical career. In the case of Texas based Mothership, the Brother Juett (Kyle on bass, younger brother Kelley on guitar) enlisted the aid of their father, John Juett, to help get the 'ship off the ground. Raised on a healthy dose of their father's 70's-era record collection, the brothers began crafting songs fueled on the raucous and raw good time vibe when music seemed to know no bounds. Lifting off the pad for the first time in 2010, the band began to gain momentum and notoriety with their unabashed live shows. Knowing that the service of the family patriarch was temporary, Father Juett actively helped his boys find his replacement, and in late 2011, enter the mighty Judge Smith to hammer away on the skins. In early 2012, Mothership entered Crystal Clear Studios with Wo Fat mastermind Kent Stump manning the boards and by mid-year, the band self-released their debut album. It was the combination of the 70's-era heavy rock fuzz and fury mixed with the blistering guitar solos of the NWOBHM-era that drew the bands attention to California-based Heavy Rock label, Ripple Music. In the waning months of 2012, after a successful year of traveling regionally throughout Texas and opening for national acts such as Prong, Red Fang, Gypsyhawk, Earthen Grave, and Lo-Pan, Mothership officially dubbed Ripple Music as its Home Port and began plotting a course for their first U.S. Tour in early 2013.
