The brainchild of drummer Kyle Eddy (MUCOPUS, INTERNAL BLEEDING) and guitarist Jeff Leifer (TENTACLES, CRATOR),  FOAMING AT THE MOUTH is a two-piece sonic wall of Brutal Death Metal with plenty of slam. Hailing from the Adirondacks in Upstate NY,  FOAMING AT THE MOUTH has been a driving force in the local and regional scene since 2013.  Writhing was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Elliot Geller.

"Unwind after a stressful day with Writhing, and let Foaming at the Mouth show you that there's still lots of fun to be had in the death metal underground."

ORKAN - ELEMENT - Review by Gravarson

 Dark Essence 5th October 2018

Having fought their way through cancer and rare, crippling muscular diseases, ORKAN are now ready with the follow up to 2015's LIVLAUS. The new album, titled ELEMENT, deals with the power and ferocity of the four elements, and is a homage to the unforgiving strength of the earth, and the landscape of their native land, the Island of Stord.

https://redirect.haulix.com//208592/PromoAccessory_601711.jpgElements is the 3rd album by Orkan, I remember writing about their first album here witch I found somewhat similar to Taake, especially the vocals. Maybe not so strangfe considering the fact that Orkan has musicians from Taake and Krakow.

All that is more or less gone now and Orkan has their own style and they set the bar high with the first track 'Lenker' witch is a fast and chaotic track, yet there is harmony if you listen closely and the words I sit with after this is fuck yeah!
The 3rd track 'I Flammar Skal Du Eldast' is one of my personal faves at the moment alongside with 'Iskald' and 'Avmakt'

Orkan really use elements in their music and if I had to chose it would be air and fire.
Air for the powerful and majestic blizzardstorms of hellfire they create and fire for the destroyd earth that is left where Orkan's sound ranges.
Dark, majestic, powerful, fast and enegic describes their music well.

I'm eager to hear more of tis band in the future s they have created their own identity, to put it that way.

If you listen beneath the surfce there will riuse a landscape, so the album demands alot as listener and is not for hangover on sunday, or who knows?
There are 7 tracks on Elements but they are all relatively long, from 5 to over 9 minutes mostly so you get value for the money here if you decide to buy it.

This is for those who  like the extreme form of metal in case you had not figurd yet.
Agressive and energic the band rides towards the storms that faces and leave no trace of what have been.
I recomend you listen to this album several times as you'll see another dimension rise nd fall into a world only Orkn know how to create.

A solid album and recommended by Gravarson.

Twilight's Embrace - Penace EP - Rview By Ivo

Summer. The scorching sun. The heat that lies over the city like
drape. Chilled wine. Warm nights and even hotter days. Children
playing in the sun.
I fuckin’ hate it.
Luckily there is “Penance”. The latest EP of english death/doom
band Twilight’s Embrace. Dark, cold and bitter. A longing for
contemplative times. Glacial desires and peaceful memories of
solitude.
But enough now with the metaphors and let’s quickly discuss the
music.
Bilderesultat for twilight's embrace peace
Twilight’s Embrace is short and straight to the point. There are
only four songs on this EP but I can’t find a single weak
moment. The band delivers an excellent performance where every
notes vibrates with emotion and passion and I really, REALLY
like the songs.

Openers “Dying Earth” and “Curtain Call” are more than solid
pieces. Albeit heavy and slow, the tracks leave enough room for
the heartfelt melodies to stand out and although I hear a lot of
My Dying Bride, the band never loses itself in preposterous
behaviour and clichés.
But the real pièces de résistance are the significantly longer
title track and the Paradise Lost cover “It’s Too Late”.
Especially on “Penance”, the band has dialed up a notch and
brought the BIG emotions, the grand melodies, the good riffs and
the mood. I feel that the song nicely mirrors the theme of the
lyrics.

About the Paradise Lost cover, I can be short. Excellent and
Twilight’s Embrace have moulded it into a song that perfectly
fits on the EP.
If you take your doom metal like the leftovers of your coffee,
cold and bitter, seek no further!
For all your masochistic needs! I could recommend any reggae
compilation but I’m not that sadistic.
